About the Author

Salomy Hall is a storyteller who refuses to choose between "proper" English and the language of her heart—Jamaican Patois.

A professional writer with a Bachelor's degree in English, Salomy weaves both languages throughout her work because life isn't lived in just one voice. Her stories reveal the humor, contradictions, and complexities of everyday Caribbean life—the regular AND the irregular moments that make us human.

A self-proclaimed history buff and professional eavesdropper, you'll find Salomy in spaces actively listening, then jumping in with "Really? So what happened after that?" Her mantra: "Questions were made to ask..."

JUST THE REGULAR, IRREGULAR is her debut journal series, created for anyone tired of journaling the "proper" way and ready to write their truth—in their own voice, on their own timeline.
